Week #2 - Inspiration - Kirk Crockett

I often like to browse eBay for used lights to add to a little collection I have going. I was incredibly lucky to find a Litemat 4 for a quarter of the retail price, Although this was not what I expected. Normal Litemats are bi-color with a dial to range between 3200K and 5600K, tungsten and daylight colors. This unit has a strange RGBW ballast that doesn't use the Kelvin scale at all. I was a little disappointed, but after playing around with it I got more and more excited. I'm certainly inspired to see all the different things I can do with this light for photography and filming alongside the Litepanel Gemini I already have, also from eBay.

  1. Nice image and so glad you are experimenting so much with light and with this you can play more with color. Nice post!
