Week #0 - Diana - Light In My Own Little Corner
Before taking down my Christmas lights to put up my halloween lights, I took one last moment to take in the sight. Whenever decorating my place, I try to create a welcoming and warm place for myself. The light illuminating my corner in the living room took me back to the warmest place in my heart. Something about the floor lamp light spilled over the arm chair and the Christmas lights around the window reminded me of family. There was this emotional warmth and memory of family. It is the memory of making hot coffee after a dinner party and sitting in the living room telling stories. That is where my mind went when I saw this. Although I do admit the appears quite ominous, it still took me to a place of comfort. If the Christmas lights were not in the image and it was only the floor lamp, the overall atmosphere of the room would feel quite sad and possibly creepy.
